From Gambling 911
Ok as a Knicks fan, I find it so cute that there is such a thing as a Jeremy Lin Bandwagon. I consider myself an expert of rooting for mediocre teams. I'm a Jets, Mets, and Knicks fan. If these teams were in any other market, they would not be talked about as much. The knicks are a 9-15 team and that's terrible.  Right now they have won a few games in a row with the help of Jeremy Lin. The best few games by a rookie so far. I am glad that we have him, he looks like he is going to be a great player. We have some other great players like Amare Stoudemire and Carmello Anthony and now we have a Point Guard that can play well. Her're my thing: Are the Knicks going to do damage in the playoffs?  No, they might not get to the playoffs. Maybe all of this excitement is for next year?

Subject: Isner Beats Federer at Davis Cup
image from CNN

So I just got a text from my mom who told me this great news. John Isner beat Roger Federer 4-6 6-3 7-6 6-2 playing one of the best matches of his career. His best match was that unnecessary marathon with Nicholas Mahut, 70-68 in the 5th set of Wimbledon. The match was really about Isner's lack of an effective return game. This win, however, is good news. Isner has for a long time been my hope for the "next great American" player. He is super tall, super powerful and very mentally tough. He had a solid game. There is no reason why John Isner can't be in the top ten. I hope he can build on this performance and continue to play aggressively not only on his serve but on his opponent's return as well. This win puts the U.S.Davis Cup team ahead 2-0 and in a great position to beat Switzerland. Mardy Fish started of by winning 9-7 in the 5th set against Stanislas Warwrinka- which is a great effort by him. The one thing I can say about Mardy is that he makes the most of his game. Tomorrow, Bob Bryan and Ryan Harrison will play Federer and Warwrinka. My prediction? The U.S. will bring out their brooms.

Subject:Why create a blog?

The reason why I created this blog was because my sport management professor/adviser keeps telling us to do things that distinguish ourselves. She keeps saying that there is no excuse for you not to have a blog right now. So here it is, my own blog about my favorite sport: tennis. I won't exclusively talk about tennis because I do love other sports, but the majority of the time with deal with the issues going on in tennis right now. I also wanted to create this blog because besides the few tennis blogs out there, some of them are absolutely terrible. I think I can do a pretty decent job. Wish me luck.
